Those of us in the Coaching profession work hard to improve our skills, deepen our learning and be the most effective advocates for our clients. But what do we look for in a client?

The Perfect Client is simple to define. She or he wants to change.

The desired change can be in any area of the Client’s life. Perhaps a relationship needs work and the Client seeks guidance in that area. Sometimes the Client wants to change habits or develop new ones. Often a Client comes to Coaching seeking that evasive “something that’s missing in my life” or what we Coaches call “Fulfillment”. When life is out of Balance or the same old techniques and habits that worked for years no longer work, Coaching can help!

Of course, Coaches look for some other qualities in their Clients besides the desire to change. A Perfect Client would call promptly at appointment time, cancel appointments in time to re-schedule when needed, pay their coaching fees promptly, be willing to try new things, be open about communications, have a great sense of humor, and recognize the value of the Coach’s time and expertise.

The key factor for a Client to be successful in Coaching is to seek change. If you seek change, what is keeping you from contacting me to learn more?
